About Us

Northern Illinois Home Builders Association (NIHBA) was founded in 1954 to promote home ownership and the interests of the home building industry. Incorporated in 1956, it is an affiliated chapter of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the Home Builders Association of Illinois (HBAI). NIHBA attracts members from all walks of the home building industry. It has a diverse membership that includes not only home builders and remodelers, but also real estate attorneys, mortgage lenders, banking institutions, electricians, plumbers, HVAC contractors, accountants, land developers and more. Any company that provides a product or service to home builders or home buyers in Will, DuPage, Kane and Kendall counties is eligible for membership.
