"Members Doing Business with Members"

• This phrase is a registered service mark of the National Association of Home Builders. It captures the essence of every homebuilder association's commitment to promoting builder support of those companies that support their Association. The builders of NIHBA realize that Associate Members add immeasurable strength to their Association.

Networking Opportunities

• At monthly General Membership Meetings, the annual Golf Outing and a host of other business and social occasions, Associate Members have the opportunity to meet and talk with Builder Members. Membership on any NIHBA committee will give an Associate Member the opportunity to broaden his/her contacts with Builder Members.

Advertising Opportunities

• Associate Members may place ads in Northern Lights, our monthly newsletter, which is circulated to all members and others affiliated with NIHBA. Northern Lights features columns and articles designed to keep members informed on what's new in the Association.
• In order to promote the products and services of Associate Members, the annual Membership Directory includes a Classified section, allowing Builders to locate companies that provide the product or service they are looking for.
• Each Cavalcade of Homes features a plan book, complete with details about each builder and the professionals that helped make the construction and design of the Cavalcade homes possible. The Plan Book is a fabulous means of advertising and reaches over 30,000 people each year.
• Furthermore, as a non-profit organization we host a great deal of events and often rely on sponsorships to make these events possible. Sponsoring an NIHBA event is a great way to show other Associates and Builders that you support NIHBA initiatives. We recognize Company Sponsorships at the meeting for their support and also recognize these sponsorships in Northern Lights.
• Each year NIHBA hosts a Road Show, where associates can also advertise to over 500,000 readers.

Health and Business Insurance at Special Discounts

• Members of NIHBA may obtain health insurance coverage for their staff and family at discounted rates.
• Many members have reduced their annual health insurance premiums by far more than the annual membership dues. Business insurance coverage (worker's comp, liability, etc) is also available to NIHBA members at extremely favorable rates.
• Members have saved as much as $16,000 per year over what they were paying for business insurance. Since these insurance programs were initiated, membership has increased dramatically as non-member companies discovered how much they could save on insurance as members of NIHBA.

Cavalcade of Homes

• The Cavalcade of Homes has become the premier single site home show in the Midwest. In 1999 the Cavalcade was the largest single site show in the Nation with 21 fully decorated and landscaped homes open for public viewing. Our 2002 Show in Naperville was also a huge success. Many companies provide materials for the Cavalcade of Homes in return for promotional opportunities in the homes. More than 30,000 people attend the Cavalcade of Homes each year.

The indicated dues include membership to Northern Illinois Home Builders Association, Home Builders Association of Illinois and the National Association of Home Builders.
