| NIHBA COMMITTEES
Participation in NIHBA’s committees is an excellent way to get
involved in the Association’s activities. It is also a great way to meet
your fellow members and support the efforts of the building industry
throughout the area.

PR / Sales &
Marketing
This committee works together to
discover opportunities to advertise member businesses and services
within the association. They work to brand the association and promote
the association to the consumer. The committee meets the 3rd Thursday at
9:00 a.m.
Budget & Finance
This committee is responsible for
reviewing the monthly financial statements and for providing oversight
and stewardship for the Association's assets. This committee meets
monthly as determined by the members.
Education Committee
This committee meets to discover ways
to better educate NIHBA members and solve the problems and challenges we
are faced with in the industry today. The committee organizes
Educational Seminars and speakers on pertinent topics. The committee's
goal is to help keep NIHBA members abreast of sales techniques, industry
issues and customized business solutions. The Education Committee meets
the second Thursday of each month at 8:30 a.m.
Governmental Affairs
Committee
Working closely with the Attainable
Housing Alliance, this committee provides the grass roots efforts vital
to staying on top of regulatory actions affecting the building industry
throughout this area. They deal with issues ranging from proposed
building code changes to impact fee ordinances to wetland issues.
Members of this committee serve as the eyes and ears of NIHBA when it
comes to tracking regulatory efforts affecting the industry. The
Governmental Affairs Committee meets the 1stTuesday of each month at
7:30 a.m.
Membership Committee
Just as its name implies, the
Membership Committee works recruit and retain members. It is their job
to develop programs and services of value to the membership. They also
work hard at providing opportunities for all of our members to become
involved. The group calls new, potential and existing members throughout
the year. The Membership Committee meets the 1st Thursday of each month
at 9:00 a.m.
Program Committee
The Program Committee and its
sub-committees plan the monthly General Membership Meetings, the annual
Christmas Party; organize the annual Golf Outing and many other social
activities for the membership. This committee's dedication to NIHBA
brings you the areas best programs, speakers and events. The Program
Committee meets the 1st Wednesday of the Month at 9:00 a.m.
Golf Committee
This annual event is very popular with
our members and requires months of planning and organizing. If golf is
your game, we need you! Contact NIHBA offices for meeting dates and
times. The Golf Committee is a Sub-Committee of our Program Committee
and meets as needs determine each year beginning a few months before the
Golf Outing in August.
Remodeler's Council
This committee is made up of NIHBA
Builder Members whose focus is to educate the public, as well as other
NIHBA members, on NIHBA's prided list of members that do quality
remodeling. This committee meets the fourth Thursday of the month at
