Crimson Design & Construction is a residential design/build remodeling firm located in the historic 5th Avenue Station building in downtown Naperville. The company was formed in 2000 by Naperville natives and brothers, Neil and Joel Kristianson. Prior to starting Crimson, Neil worked as a buyer at FE Wheaton and Joel was a commercial architect at Jaegar, Nickola & Associates designing churches and parochial schools. Both had previous experience as carpenters building new construction in the Naperville area.

Crimson Design & Construction specializes in renovations and additions with a strong emphasis on customer service and assistance every step of the way. We help our clients throughout each stage of their project; beginning with budget and architectural design, to all product selections, and finally thru construction and warranty. We enjoy all types of renovations, but excel at large-scale complex additions involving multiple rooms and floors. Architectural integration with the existing context is very important and our goal is to make every addition look like it was always there; the challenge being to create a unique and updated style yet to suit the overall décor.

Currently we are building a home for the 2008 Cavalcade of Homes in Plainfield. We are not branching off into new home building, but rather using this opportunity to meet the many homeowners that attend the show each year looking for ideas to improve their existing home.

Membership in local and national associations is important to us so as to stay abreast of new trends in home building and remodeling. In addition to being members of NAHB, we are also members of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), Remodeler’s Advantage (RAR) and the American Institute of Architects (AIA). More recently we became authorized Fieldstone Cabinetry dealers. Our showroom features examples of Fieldstone’s quality cabinetry and large product selection.

Over the past eight years we have built strong customer relationships that have honored us with both referrals and repeat business.
